Hair Loss Anymore.

40% of women experience significant hair loss by the time they're 40. More than half have noticeably thinning hair by their 50s. And while male-pattern baldness gets more attention, women have a much more difficult time emotionally as thinning hair begins to impact their appearance.

Traditionally, there was little that could be done. Shampoos with artificial fillers try to improve hair volume. Topicals with drugs like minoxidil could stimulate some hair growth. And expensive hair transplants could cover-up the problem for a time.

That was then. This is now. Bellamedica has been pioneering comprehensive therapies using platelet-rich plasma that wake up quiescent hair follicles to cause you to regrow the hair you've lost. Combined with LASER scalp treatments and targetted topicals, a series of PRP-treatments is more than 85% effective in helping patients regrow their own hair.

Even better, the hair you regrow comes in with naturally thicker follicles to give you the rich, full head of hair you desire. Discover the difference PRP-based hair restoration can make. Book your free evaluation appointment today.

Hair Loss Is Impossible to Hide

While nearly as many women experience significant hair loss as do men, doctors have traditionally been unresponsive and uncaring, urging their patients to "just accept" that hair loss is a fact of life.

We believe that does women everywhere a disservice. You feel at your most confident best when your hair looks fabulous. Your hair is a point of pride. From its cut to its styling, your hair is an expression of your personality. And there's nothing wrong with that. At Bellamedica, we believe you deserve to look and feel your best… every day.

You've worked too hard and sacrificed too much for too many people to just give in at the first sign of hair loss. You rise to meet challenges in every other area of your life. We believe you deserve the best chance to overcome hair loss too.

That's why we've pioneered industry-leading treatments that help you regrow your own, thick, full head of hair. To learn more what Bellamedica can do for you, book your free consultation.

Good Morning America discusses the Bellamedica hair restoration with PRP procedure

Why do women lose their hair?

A simple way to understand of how hair grows is to picture a garden. How well it grows is completely the result of what is happening “underground.”

“Like a garden, a normal hair cycle should lead to a healthy product, which is the hair,” says Samira Ummat, a board certified MD at Bellamedica. “Growth cycles are important because when they go awry, that is one of the reasons we have hair loss.”

And things that interfere with the cycle like; genetics, medications, illness, infection, or chemicals, have the potential to stop hair from being formed properly.

"It’s a very dynamic place and anything that offsets that cycle can cause hair loss,” Dr. Ummat says.

Although hair loss may seem like a more prominent problem in men, women are nearly as likely to lose, or have thinning, hair. Most women notice it in their 40s or 50s, but it can happen at any age and for a variety of reasons.

Why hair restoration with PRP rather then transplanting?

Hair treatment technology has now developed to a point where the non-surgical alternative to traditional hair transplants, called PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma Injections is available — the most modern way to jump-start hair growth without the need for surgery.

Hair transplants require surgery! The procedure surgically removes hair follicles from one part of the body, and then moves it to the balding areas of the scalp.

Each individual hair follicle will need to be placed on the scalp, so it is a very time-consuming process. Hair transplants or grafting can take twelve hours or more to complete! Both Anesthesia and sedation are

Hair Transplant Scar. Ouch!

both used in a transplant procedure, unlike our hair restoration with PRP which doesn't need anesthesia or down time.  Transplants also will require up to three days of downtime, and you will be able to see where the procedure was done for up to a month after the procedure has been completed. Bellamedica's hair restoration program requires zero downtime, minor redness to the treated area and you will be growing your own hair again.

Cost-wise, hair transplant surgery clinics will charge per skin graft, and a typical hair transplant procedure can cost between $20,000 to $35,000. Bellamedica's hair restoration procedure is a fraction of that cost, with a fraction of the procedure time and the results are amazing!

3 Easy Steps:

STEP 1: Schedule Your FREE Consultation

Simply schedule your free "Beautiful New You" consultation online at www.bellamedica.com. Decide which day, time, and practitioner, and you’ll be on the way toward a perfectly sculpted body!

STEP 2: Establish Your Personalized Plan

Your aesthetician will first listen to your concerns and desires and design a customized treatment program tailored to your specific needs. We will also discuss your medical history to confirm your eligibility for SculpSure.  Rest assured, we’ll take the time to answer all the questions you might have, discuss procedure details and any additional outstanding items.

STEP 3: Transform Your Body in 25 Minutes

When the treatment starts, initially you will feel a cooling sensation.  The cooling will be on the entire treatment, while the laser cycles on and off, raising the temperature of the fat cells. Most patients feel a deep warmth and/or tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment. After the 25-minute treatment is finished, you can resume your daily activities, as there is no post-treatment down time.

Frequently asked questions

The important role of plasma in PRP therapy

Used for decades as part of medical wound-healing techniques, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is derived from a patient’s own blood. Plasma, the liquid portion of the blood consisting mostly of proteins and water, circulates red and white blood cells as well as platelets throughout the body. Platelets, which are the cells that cause the blood to clot, contain growth factors. Two of these proteins, FGF and PDGF, promote cell growth and tissue repair as well as the production of the proteins collagen and elastin.

PRP therapy poses minimal risk

For patients at Bellamedica, PRP therapy relies on a patient’s own blood to help restore the hair and repair hair follicles. This virtually eliminates any chance for an individual to experience an allergic reaction or for the body to reject the treatments. As with any type of injection, there is a slight risk for patients to experience an infection, injury to blood vessels and nerves, as well as scar tissue. However, when the procedure is performed by a board ceritfied medical professional such as those at Bellamedica, patients are more likely to have a positive experience with their PRP therapy treatments.

What types of hair loss can be addressed?

With PRP therapy, some types of hair loss respond better than others. This is especially true for hair loss resulting from various forms of an autoimmune disorder called alopecia. Hereditary hair thinning called androgenetic alopecia is better known as male pattern baldness. Don’t let the name fool you: This condition affects both men and women. PRP therapy is also beneficial for women who experience traction alopecia, thinning hair that results from wearing braids, ponytails and other styles that pull out the hair.

Who is a candidate for treatment?

Studies have shown that the best candidates for PRP therapy are those whose hair loss is recent since it can be difficult to revive long-dormant hair follicles. Ideally, a patient’s scalp will feature areas of so-called “weak-quality” hair growth where functioning hair follicles remain. In most cases, patients who are completely bald may not experience all of the benefits associated with PRP therapy since it is unlikely to regrow all of the hair that has been lost. Patients should be in good overall health and not suffering from specific types of skin issues, blood and liver disorders, or diabetes. Certain medications may impact one’s ability to undergo PRP therapy. After reviewing your medical history, the skilled professionals at Bellamedica will expertly determine whether you are a good candidate for PRP therapy.

What happens during a PRP procedure?

As part of PRP therapy at Bellamedica, a small amount of a patient’s own blood is drawn and spun twice in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the red and white blood cells. Areas of the scalp that are targeted for treatment will be numbed with a local or topical anesthetic. Injections with an ultra-fine needle are made just below the scalp and the PRP will be administered to heal damaged hair follicles and stimulate new hair growth. Most PRP hair restoration treatments take about an hour or less to complete. A microneedling treatment will also be included with the procedure. Microneedling is used to create tiny holes on the scalp. The micro-injuries that are created trigger the body to produce collagen and elastin to heal the damaged skin. This complements and further enhances the healing work accomplished by PRP injections.

PRP results and follow-up

Although everyone’s experience is different, in general, most patients at Bellamedica can expect to see improvements in the quality of their hair within 4-6 months after PRP therapy. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled during this time to observe and track the progress of a patient’s hair regrowth. To further improve the health of the follicles and promote future hair growth, additional PRP treatments may be recommended every 12-18 months.

How much does PRP Hair Restoration cost?

It's hard to say without seeing the patient first. We need to see how large or small the hair loss area is, if there is any hair follicals, and the over all health of the individual. We offer a FREE consultation to make these determinations and qoute a price for success. You can schedlue online at www.bellamedica.com/freeconsultation
